Cross Stitch Crazy

So - its been a while since I've posted. Not to fear, I've still been crafting up a storm, just devoting my time and efforts to cross stitching. So if you miss my hilariousness and craftiness - go to my Stitch Out Loud blog. I'll still be posting non-cross stitch stuff here now and then. But for the time being - you should follow my other blog. Do it, do it.

Naughty or Nice?

This is kinda like the "Is the glass half-empty or half-full" test. I think we all know where my mind wandered...

Things I Heart

My mom pretty much rules. Enough said.

Man Towels

I was busy as a bee pre-Christmas: making gifts, kicking ass and taking names (no surprise there, right?). Below are just some of the "man towels" I gave away as gifts to most of my office mates for the holidays this year. I think they're fun, and hope to put some together down the road as a set. Who wouldn't want to dry their dishes with a sharp-dressed man?

These go to eleven. My tribute to Spinal Tap.

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

Christmas Presents!

So I was busy busy artsing and crafting all weekend for the holidays. I'm super excited about some of the things I made, but can't show them off yet since they are gifts. HOWEVER - I couldn't help myself, so here's a sneak peak at something I've been working on. (Hint: they rhyme with tan rowels.)

MORE ST!#CH OUT LOUD....

I haven't found any dandy frames for these pieces yet...but hope to soon. I'm also in the works of knuckle tattoo gloves, flour sack kitchen towels, a tribute to Spinal Tap and more. Exciting. Stay tuned. But first and foremost, I made you a mixed tape...
